Today as I sit at my little travel desk working away in cooler temps I am daydreaming of the time I spent on Scrub Island Resort & Spa eight years ago. We pulled into the marina and planned on staying one night but spent a week on this charming island before setting sail to the next. The resort is named after its location on Scrub Island, a serene 230-acre haven situated one mile from the east end of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. It is host to one-bedroom suites and villas that range from two to six bedrooms. The thirteen Private Villas on the property can host up to ten people and each host outdoor showers and infinity pools overlooking the warm Caribbean sea. One of my favorite activities on the island was renting an inflatable motorboat from the offshore sailing school and visiting some of the cays and snorkeling just offshore.
